Yoga with Chinmayi

In the West we often think of Yoga as a purely physical practice and of course Yoga is an amazing way to ‘exercise’ your body.  It makes you feel great physically and mentally: cleanses the body; tones the muscles and the internal organs; benefits the circulatory system; improves breathing capacity; and regulates blood pressure.

 

There is also, in Yoga, an opportunity to dive much deeper and discover a partially-hidden, peaceful part of ourselves which, in our culture, we don’t always know how to access.  

 

The philosophical teachings are present in every Integral Yoga class.  Slowly the words of your teacher begin to chip away, very gently at those hard, uncomfortable beliefs that we all hold  about ourselves, about the world, and with repeated practice, we begin to feel more at ease on every level.

I believe there is something of value in a yoga class for everyone.

Young, old, flexible, inflexible.  Wherever you are on the spectrum, that’s ok.  You don’t have to be flexible to do yoga; that’s the outcome of your practice, not the starting point.  So whatever is pulling you towards Yoga, great, give it permission. Come and join a class.  Chances are you won’t regret it.

I am offering live and recorded online Yoga Classes 3 times a week via Zoom, and a Meditation and Mindfulness group.  Here are the class times if you want to join us:  

 

Yoga:  Monday 9.30-10.30 am, Tuesday 6.15-7.30 pm, Wednesday 9.15-10.45 am, £7 per class.

 

Meditation & Mindfulness: Thursday 7.00-7.45 pm, £5 per class.
