Classes

By Arrangement - One-to-One Yoga - via Zoom.  Ideal for anyone new to yoga who wants to explore what yoga has to offer in the comfort of your own home, or for existing students looking to refine their practice.  One-to-one sessions can also be beneficial for anyone facing physical challenges who need a carefully-adapted practice under the guidance of an experienced teacher.  Please message me to discuss your individual requirements.  Cost £30 per session; payments can be made via the Shop Page.  

 

Mondays - 09.30 - 10.30 : YOGA - ON ZOOM -  please message me for a link to join.   We use asana (postures), yoga nidra (deep relaxation), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and chanting.  Based on the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda, these classes offer a traditionally rich yoga experience.  Everyone welcome, beginners to advanced. Cost £7 per session.  Payments can be made in person or on the Shop Page.

 

Tuesdays - 18.15 - 19.30 : YOGA - ON ZOOM, please message me for a link to join.  An Integral Yoga Class where we use asanas (postures), yoga nidra (deep relaxation), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and chanting.  Based on the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda, these classes offer a traditionally rich yoga experience.  Everyone welcome, beginners to advanced. Cost £7 per session.

 

Wednesdays - 09.15-10.45 : YOGA - ON ZOOM, please message me for a link to join.  This longer class affords us the opportunity to dive deeper into the authentic teachings of yoga, affording time for discussion of yogic philosophy and meditation.  We begin with asana (posture) and move through a slightly shortened sequence, moving through nidra (deep relaxation) and pranayama (breathing practice) which brings us into a state of receptivity and openness for the meditation which follows.   £7 per session.  Payments can be made via the Shop Page.

 

Thursdays - 19.00 - 19.45 : MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS - ON ZOOM.   Please message me for a link to join.  Everyone is welcome, including beginners and those looking to deepen their existing practice, for if you just like hanging out with other meditators, that's great too!  Suggested donation £5 but everyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay and no questions will be asked.

Chair Yoga and Guided Relaxation

 

We have two groups online with Dorset Mind which offer gentle yoga, guided relaxation and breathing practices as a way of letting go of stress and anxiety.  Did you know that just one minute of conscious breathing can change the way your brain and body functions?  If you want to join these groups please message me for more info or contact Dorset Mind direct.

 

 

Online Courses

 

Coming soon ... an online course: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life. This is a 6-week, guided course which combines live group sessions with practical activities, helping you to develop your practice week by week.  Drawing on the findings from modern day psychology and ancient wisdom teachings we will navigate our way towards greater peace.  Combines lecture, discussion, practical activities, suggestions for personal pratice and personal guidance.  Sign up for the newsletter or social follow to stay updated on the course launch date.

 

Retreats and Workshops

 

Much of the work I offer has moved beyond the constraints of the regular yoga class.  The essence of the yogic tradition is revealed more fully in these in-depth explorations which we take together, in good company.  Yogis refer to this concept as Satsang which means coming together in good company.  More information is available on the Retreats and Workshops page, and on the Facebook Page under Events.
